LG is set to launch its latest device, the 4G capable LG Optimus F5 in Europe today.
The device which was initially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February, has no price tag as yet. Launching initially in France, LG will roll out the Optimus F5 in South and Central America, Asia and the Common-wealth of Independent States (CIS) over the next several weeks.
The device which runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, has a Qualcomm 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor, a 4.3-inch IPS (In-Plane Switching technology) screen with 256 ppi (Pixels per inch).
It also comes with 8 GB storage, and 1GB RAM, which is however expandable to 32GB via a micro SD slot. As for camera, device sports a 5.0 MP AF Front camera and a 1.3 MP Rear camera.
Key features of the device include advanced UX features such as the upgraded QSlide and Live Zooming, previously available only in LG's premium devices. QSlide allows users to open two apps at the same time, both in full screen mode.
The Video Wiz feature lets users play movie director by giving them the power to edit videos and enhance them with sound and music right on the phone itself.
The QTranslator function instantly translates not only words, but also entire sentences and phrases by simply using the camera to scan the text. It accepts 44 different languages and can translate them into any one of 64 languages.
