A tweet sent out by EvLeaks appear to show off the design of the yet to be launched LG Optimus G2. The leaked images of the smartphone, which is expected to be revealed during LG’s New York event, tend to show a noteworthy change in the phone.

The images showcase a set of buttons on its back panel, expected to be the volume keys, below its camera. This is something that we have not seen on an LG handset before. As announced earlier, the new smartphone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with quad-core Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. Earlier, LG had announced that the Optimus G Pro , the predecessor to the Optimus G2, which was launched in April, would hit the Indian markets in the month of June. The smartphone, expected to compete with the likes of Samsung Note 2, comes with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display having a pixel density of 401 ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC with 1.7Ghz quad-core CPU and an Adreno 320 GPU. Running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the handset is backed by 2GB of RAM and is powered by a 3140 mAh battery.

The G Pro comes with a rear camera of 13 megapixels, while the secondary camera is 2.1 megapixels. Additionally, the handset has features such as dual camera and dual recording, which would mean that one could record or click images simultaneously using both the cameras. The camera also comes with a VR Panorama feature, which lets you click a 360° complete view picture, vertically and horizontally.
