LG’s highly anticipated 3D ready handset i.e. the Optimus 3D is finally ready for Indian shelves. It has been officially announced in New Delhi for India today. LG’s first 3D enabled smartphone handset is set to thrill mobile audiences with a glass-less 3D viewing experience. Of course we’ll be able to tell you more when we actually get to put it through its paces. In the mean time, here’s a quick hands on with the Optimus 3D.
LG Optimus 3D
The Optimus 3D is the first handset to come equipped with a 3D mobile camera to record 3D content. It’s also the world’s first dual-core, dual-channel and dual-memory architecture equipped smartphone. LG has incorporated a 3D UI as well, for media and gaming and the device also allows users to manually choose the level of 3D, according to their personal preference. In standard 2D mode the Optimus 3D can capture video in full HD i.e. 1080p and while in 3D mode it drops to 720p. The handset also comes with:
- 4.3-inch 3D Capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels
- 3G, Wi-Fi with Hotspot support, GPRS/EDGE, DLNA,
- GPS with A-GPS support
- Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and EDR
- Dual 5 megapixel cameras with autofocus and LED Flash
- Front-facing camera
- Internal Memory of 8GB and 512MB RAM, External memory expandable to 32GB
- HDMI Port
- Stereo FM Radio with RDS
- 3.5 mm audio jack

Better frame rate for video capturing
