LG L60 pops up on Amazon.in: Entry-level KitKat phone priced at Rs 7,999

LG has quietly released its L60 dual-SIM entry-level smartphone in India, as we can see a listing on Amazon.in. It is available for Rs. 7,999 on the e-commerce website and like many of its rivals nowadays in this price segment, runs Android KitKat .   The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device is powered by a dual-core processor (unspecified) clocked at 1.3GHz, while there’s 512MB of RAM on board too. The budget offering has a small 4.3-inch TFT display, quite like the Moto E. There’s also a 5-megapixel rear camera like the Motorola phone, though LG has thrown in an LED flash as well. There’s also a front-facing 0.3-megapixel camera.   Connectivity options on the LG L60 include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for data connection, while Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Micro-USB round off the list. There’s a meagre-sounding 1540 mAh battery too, but no rated battery life. Interestingly, the phone on the listing page shows Russian language text from the phone’s launch in that country, which does hint at a half-baked launch by Amazon, even though the seller on the site is LG. We will have to wait and see if LG will eventually launch the phone at the listed price. Seeing as Xiaomi has launched its much-awaited Redmi 1S in India for Rs 5,999, the competition will be scrambling to slash prices as far as they can.   The L-60 is clearly not part of the L-series phones that were announced last week. **The L Fino and L Bello** were clearly inspired by the LG G3, while the L60 looks plain in comparison.
