LG Electronics has introduced a range of LCD monitors called the NextGen range in various sizes ranging from 15 inches all the way to 42 inches. Overall 9 monitors—the L552S (15 inches), L1752S (17 inches), L1732S (17 inches), L1770H (17 inches), L1970H (19 inches), L1952S (19 inches), L245WP (24 inches), M3200A (32 inches), and L4200C (42 inches) have been introduced in the NextGen range.
In the starter to mid-range the LG L1752S stands out, as it offers a very high contrast ratio of 1600:1 with a response time of 8 ms and LG’s F-engine, which is an inbuilt picture correction technology, that promises to improve the multimedia experience on pictures, movies and games. Similarly the L245WP L1952S and L1970H models have a response time of 8ms and offer an excellent contrast ratio of 1400:1.
In the higher range the L4200C is a giant 42 inch LCD monitor, with a response time of 20 ms and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Similarly the M3200A is a 32-inch LCD monitor with a response time of 18ms and power consumption of 180W.
Prices for the new range of monitors start at Rs 15,000.
