LG G6 may feature iris scanner, mobile payment system

After the LG G5 with modular design, reports about the G6 have started surfacing online. Adding to the string of leaks and rumours, a new report suggests that the upcoming LG device will feature iris scanner and a payments method. According to a Korea Herald report , the company plans to launch the device with possibly both the above mentioned features in early 2017. At the Korea Electronics Show held in October, the company had showcased the all-in-one module that will acts as both iris scanner and camera. It is believed that the inclusion of this technology may help the company position the device better compared to its competitors. Meanwhile, we’ve been hearing about the non-modular design for the G6. However, there is the possibility of the G6 coming with modular accessories . Moroever, we’ve also been hearing about a removable battery for the device. Adding to the features list that could help the company set its product apart from others, or at least at par, reports also talk about a new payments system allegedly called LG Pay. It will be along the lines of Samsung Pay, employing the Magnetic Security Transmission solution. This is unlike the previous report around the LG universal payments card .
