LG G4 vs Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S6 vs HTC One M9: The battle of flagships

As the onslaught of flagships continues, LG’s G4 is the next to jump on the bandwagon. The all new LG G4 hasn’t changed much design-wise, but comes with a set of spruced up specs like 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 808, 16MP camera, and running  latest Android Lollipop iteration with a layer of UX 4.0 interface. With LG’s entry, the battle of the flagships intensifies with yet-another option in the high-end premium mobile market. But is it a worthy competitor to the likes of the **Apple iPhone 6** , **HTC One M9** and **Samsung Galaxy S6** ? We’ve put it in the ring with the leading flagships to find out how it fares, at least on paper. Take a look at the comparison chart below: ![lg_g4_compareChart_640(1)](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/lg_g4_compareChart_6401.jpg) Conclusion The LG G4 offers a large screen experience compared to the others with its 5.5-inch display and superior QHD resolution. For a 5.5-inch display, the device is quite portable at 155 grams, while HTC One M9 comes with a 5-inch display but weighs 157 grams. The iPhone 6 is the lightest at 129 grams, but it leaves you with a 4.7-inch display. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has balanced it out with a 5.1-inch display with 1440 x 2560 resolution, weighing 129 grams. All four devices get a layer of protection for the display from everyday knocks and bumps. The Galaxy S6, G4 and One M9 runs the latest Android Lollipop with a layer of their respective skins. However, this time around, Samsung has gone easy on the bloatware it is known for. Needless to say, the iPhone 6 runs iOS 8. In terms of processing power, we think all four are well equipped to handle multitasking. Except iPhone 6, all come with 3GB of RAM to further offer a slick experience. However, this doesn’t mean, the iPhone 6 isn’t at par with others. In terms of storage space, the LG G4 is a clear winner with its 32GB onboard storage and a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB. Others don’t give you the option to expand the storage space. In terms of camera, the M9 gets a whopping 20.7MP snapper. However, simply megapixels do not decide how good the camera is. The Apple iPhone 6 is arguably known to have an edge over the Galaxy S6 camera. The 16MP snapper in the LG G4 is accompanied by an even better f/1.8 lens and improved image stabilization, so we can expect some good shots from the LG flagship too. In terms of connectivity options, all four devices do not disappoint and are well in tune with what we expect from the flagships these days. The LG G4 also ropes in a larger battery at 3,000 mAh. However, here again Samsung and Apple have coupled the battery with technologies that will help the device run longer. The most crucial aspect is the pricing. The 16GB iPhone 6 model is priced at Rs 53,500 while the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 at Rs 49,900. The LG G4 and HTC One M9 are extremely well specced, and if they manage to get the pricing right, it may help them achieve sales numbers too.
