It’s not been that long since LG’s G Watch, **one of two initial Android Wear devices was brought to the market** . But reports emerging from Korea indicate that LG would be revealing a second-gen smartwatch at IFA in September. According to a report in the Korea Times, LG is preparing a “serious game changer” wearable for IFA, scheduled for September 5 to 10 in Berlin. The report further quotes an LG official as saying the company is “working on a September release for the new smartwatch alongside Google’s wearable platform.” That heavily indicates that Google will be making a bigger Android Wear push at the event. We already know that **Sony** , **Samsung** and many other major manufacturers will be present at the event, so we could see more than just one Android Wear device. The report says the G Watch 2 will have an OLED display, as opposed to the IPS LCD display found in the current G Watch. It will reportedly use a Qualcomm processor, but not much more has been revealed. With the LG G3 already in markets, LG will not have many new high-end announcements in the pipeline, and may reserve the IFA stage for its smartwatch.
