LG announces K-series with the K4, K5, K7, K8 and K10 smartphones

At CES 2016, LG had announced the two handsets called the K7 and K10. However, the Korean electronics giant has now made it official that the K branded smartphones are not limited to just two, but an entire line-up of budget devices called the K-series. The range of smartphones that was made official via the company’s social media channels include, the LG K4 (LTE), K5, K7(LTE), K8(LTE) and the K10(LTE).

Clearly, one can tell that this is LG’s push for LTE smartphones in the budget range. The same models sport glossy and textured finishes for the back and also focus on the front-facing camera. LG points out the same by stating,“The glossy pebble design complemented with intricate woven back patterns provide a better grip and unique features including the ‘gesture interval shot’ and ‘tap and shot’ will bring a hassle-free selfie experience to those in use.” The hardware details for now are not available, but we do know that the K7 sports a 5-inch display while the K10 sports a 5.3-inch display, and the rest of them should follow, with the K4 being the most affordable and one with the lower hardware specifications. The focus with the smartphones is indeed photography (mainly selfies) but LG also promised that they would also sport premium UX features from smartphones that are higher up the ladder.
