After numerous leaks and rumours , Lenovo has finally announced its all-new Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus smartphones. The two devices are basically budget smartphones and will compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 and Note 4 offerings when launched in India.
The news of the new Moto E comes shortly after the launch of the Moto C in India. Currently announced for the US market, the new Moto E4 and E4 Plus models have been priced at $129 (roughly Rs 8,500) and $179 (roughly Rs 11,500) respectively.
The handsets will be available in Iron Grey, Blush Gold and Oxford Blue colour options. Both the Moto E4 and E4 Plus come with a metal finish and will run Android Nougat out of the box.
Coming to the specifications, the larger Moto E4 Plus packs in a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display while the smaller E4 packs in a 5-inch HD display.
Both smartphones will be powered by a quad-core processor. While details about the RAM has yet to be revealed Lenovo has shed some light on the cameras.
The bigger E4 Plus packs in a 13 MP camera on the back and 5 MP selfie camera on the front. The smaller E4 will feature an 8 MP camera on the rear while a 5 MP camera is in charge of selfies.
Coming to the highlight of these smartphones, which is battery life. Both devices comes with large batteries. While the smaller E4 packs in a 2,800 mAh battery, the larger E4 Plus featurees a 5,000 mAh unit.
