Lenovo Vibe S1, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro and more: Upcoming phones and discounts to watch out for

If you’ve missed on some of the lucrative Diwali discounts or are still looking for a new smartphone, then there are a slew of upcoming devices from Lenovo, Xiaomi and others. Some of the latest devices are now listed for a lower price. Take a quick look at some of the smartphones to look forward to. Lenovo Vibe S1 ![Vibe-S1-560x345](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Vibe-S1-560x345.png) Yesterday, Lenovo finally launched the Vibe S1 in India at Rs 15,999. It sports a 5.0-inch Full HD IPS LCD display and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 CPU, paired with 3GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 32GB and can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. In addition, the phone comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus, an 8MP main front-facing shooter along with a 2MP secondary front camera. Read more here . Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 While we await the Mi 5, Xiaomi is said to launch an all new Redmi Note 2 Pro . It is expected to come with the same specs sheet as Redmi Note 2, except the metal build and fingerprint scanner. So, the Redmi Note 2 Pro is likely to come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, and will be available in two variants – one with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage and another with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. Under the hood, it comes with a Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC. Also, it will include a 13MP rear snapper and 5MP front-facing camera, and run Xiaomi MIUI 7. The 2GB RAM model is likely to be priced at 1,099 Yuan (approximately Rs 11,300), and the 3GB RAM variant at 1,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 15,500) according to leaks. Xiaomi has been clearly stating that India is an important market, and so we can expect the device to reach the Indian markets too. Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL ![Leaked image shows Lumia 950 XL](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/lumia950XL.jpg) By the month-end, Microsoft is expected to launch its first set of Windows 10 phones in India. The Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and a pixel density of 565 ppi, the larger 950 XL comes with a 5.7-inches IPS display with 2,560 x 1,440 and whopping pixel density of 518 ppi. The 950 is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 while the larger 950 XL packs in a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are the first devices to run Microsoft’s Windows 10 out of the box. One of the biggest USP of the new Windows 10 is said to be the Continuum feature that allows turning the mobile device into a full-fledged Windows 10 PC. Take a closer look at its specs here . Gionee Marathon M5 ![Gionee Marathon M5](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Capture7.jpg) Gionee is all set to launch the Marathon M5 in India tomorrow  at an event in Bengaluru. The main USP for the smartphone is its battery life. The device packs in two 3010mAh batteries which brings the total up to 6020mAh. The company claims that the battery will last up to 4 days. Gionee also states that the battery can last up to 62 hours with just 5 percent battery. It is rumoured to be priced around Rs 20,000. Some other specs include 5.5-inch HD display, quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor paired with 2GB RAM, 4G LTE support, 128Gb expandable support, to name a few. Nexus 5X ![nexus5x_04](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/nexus5x_04.jpg) We recently reviewed the Nexus 5X and one of the factors that puts this otherwise-awesome phone in an iffy position is the hefty price tag that starts at Rs 31,900. It’s now listed at Rs 24,888 on Amazon. In our review, we found that it has good camera, decent build and some swanky features such as USB Type-C and fingerprint scanner make it likeable. Of course there are flaws such as frame drops while gaming, heating up and an average battery life. Having said that, it’s a significant upgrade over the 2013 Nexus 5 and a good option to consider for Nexus 5 owners looking to move on from their two-year old device. Read the complete Nexus 5X review . Xiaomi Mi 4i ![xiaomimi4i](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/xiaomimi4i.jpg) Now, Xiaomi has slashed the price of the Mi 4i to Rs 11,999 from its original price tag that read Rs 12,999. It should be noted that Flipkart’s Diwali app offer saw the Mi 4i selling at Rs 9999 for a limited period. With the Mi 4i, Xiaomi is offering you a phone that has premium specs, a great display, good camera, good battery life at an affordable price point, we rote in our review.
