Lenovo unveiled the 'Lenovo Vibe S1' smartphone in India today at an event held in New Delhi. The device will be exclusively available via Amazon India for a price of Rs 15,999 starting midnight today. The device is available in Pearl White, Midnight Blue, and Champagne Gold colour variants. The Lenovo Vibe S1 was earlier unveiled at IFA 2015 with a price tag of $299.
In terms of specifications, the device sports a 5-inch full HD IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution along with 440ppi. It sports a curved Gorilla Glass 3 towards the back and a metal edge runs around the phone. It's powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 32GB and can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
In addition, the phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus, an 8MP main front-facing shooter along with a 2MP secondary front camera. The company claims that the Lenovo Vibe S1 is the first smartphone with two front facing cameras. In terms of connectivity, the device includes dual-SIM cards, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. A 2500 mAh battery completes the package.
