Lenovo to announce ZUK Z2 on 31 May

The ZUK Z2 is expected to be announced by Lenovo on the 31 May in China, as the company has started sending out invites for the new smartphone launch. While the official specs have not been confirmed, we do know that it will be an update to the ZUK Z1 and a smaller version of the recently announced ZUK Z2 Pro. While ZUK CEO Chang Cheng shared a rendered image of the smartphone sometime back, he had also confirmed that the new smartphone will powered by a Samsung Exynos 8 Octa 8890 64-bit processor that was seen on the Galaxy S7 . The invite however shows a Qualcomm logo so there is a possibility that the company will be launching two variants of the device, and the other one just run on a Snapdragon 820 or the 652. Going by our judgement and bunch of sources online, the smartphone will be quite similar to the ZUK Z2 Pro which was announced in two variants, 64GB inbuilt storage variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant with 6GB of RAM. The latter version is unlikely; instead there might be a 3GB variant. Expect a 5-inch full HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, dual SIM card slots, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera as well as a fingerprint scanner. Rumours also say that the smartphone will carry a price tag starting at CNY 1799 (Rs 19,000 approx). All of these specs are not confirmed, so expect changes. But all will be revealed and confirmed on the 31 May. The company had brought the ZUK Z1 to India last month and had received some good feedback. Here is our full review of the ZUK Z1 . There is a good chance that the upcoming ZUK Z2 will land in India soon after the official announcement.
