Chinese tech company Lenovo on Friday announced that it sold 1 million units of its 4G smartphones Lenovo A6000, A6000plus and A7000 till June 2015.
“Apart from providing great devices, our partnership with Flipkart gave consumers in more than 1000 cities and towns across the countries access to our 4G smartphone portfolio. Beyond the metros, we have seen also seen a good uptake in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh,” Lenovo Smartphones Director Sudhin Mathur said.
As per CMR’s India quarterly data, 4G-LTE device shipments had grown 108 percent to 2.2 million units for the January-March quarter.
The Lenovo A7000 sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek chipset which is paired with 2GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 8GB and can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.
On the camera front, the device has an 8MP autofocus camera along with 5MP front facing camera. The A7000 has a 2,900mAh replaceable battery. The dual-SIM smartphone will run the latest version of Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the device includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and Cat 4 4G LTE.
In terms of specifications, the Lenovo A6000 Plus features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. The dual-SIM device runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company’s own Vibe 2.0 skin on top. The smartphone sports a 8MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash along with a 2MP front-facing camera.
The smartphone also comes equipped with dual speakers which use Dolby Digital Plus sound technology. The device is backed by a 2,300mAh battery and the company states that the device will deliver 11 days of standby time on 2G/ 3G, and up to 22 hours of talk-time on 2G and 13 hours on 3G.
On the other hand Lenovo A6000 features a 5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by a 64-bit, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. The dual-SIM smartphone supports LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, and weighs 128 grams. It also gets internal storage of 8GB, expandable up to 32GB.
