Lenovo sends out teaser for upcoming Z2 Plus smartphone

If you remember, Lenovo took over smartphone maker ZUK and had launched the Z1 smartphone in India a few months back. Now the company is completely removing the ZUK branding is all set to launch another smartphone. The ZUK Z2 , which was announced in China back in May, is now being re-branded as the Lenovo Z2 Plus for the Indian market. Lenovo has released a few teasers for the upcoming smartphone. The first teaser video points out to the solid ‘Fiber Glass’ build of the smartphone which is said to be stronger than metal. The second teaser shows the capability of the home button which will offer some added functions for navigation around the UI through a feature called U-Touch. There is a chance that Lenovo will launch the Z2 Plus with a completely different Android UI and not the ZUI 2.0 which was launched in China. Even the ZUK Z1 arrived with Cyanogenmod, so expect a more stock like experience on the upcoming Z2 Plus. Considering Lenovo will not change the hardware, the Z2 Plus will arrive with a 5-inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, 64GB storage, a 3,500mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, USB Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner and dual-SIM capability. Lenovo is expected to launch the Z2 Plus this month, so stay tuned for more info.
