Lenovo unveiled the Vibe X3 smartphone in India today. The device is priced at 19,999. The device will go on sale on January 28 at 2PM in the Matte White option via an open sale. It will be exclusively available via Amazon India. In terms of specifications, the device sports a 5.5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. Lenovo claims the Vibe X3 has a unique display that offers 100 percent NTSC colour reproduction, a feature that isn’t currently offered on smartphones. The device is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, paired with 3GB RAM. On the storage front, the Vibe X3 is offered in a 32GB built in storage variant and can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 runs the company’s Vibe UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which has been tweaked to look similar to stock Android. The Vibe X3 smartphone also packs in a 21MP rear camera with the Sony IMX230 sensor and LED flash, an 8MP front-facing camera and also supports 4K recording. It includes a 3500mAh battery and offers a fingerprint sensor at the rear panel along with hybrid dual-SIM slots and 4G LTE support. Another unique feature of the phone is the audio, via Dolby Atmos dual front speakers, as well as on the headphones. The company claims it has used the best DACs in the phone to offer lossless playback. It also includes features such as tap to wake and flip to sleep too. The Lenovo Vibe X3 also supports Theatermax, which enables a larger viewing experience by using an AntVR headset, which is available for purchase at Rs 1299. In addition, Skullcandy Ando earphones are also available for purchase at Rs 1,299. The two additions aren’t part of the original package, according to Lenovo. “The Vibe X3 is by far our most powerful and stylish device to have been launched in the Indian market. We aim to bring in an unparalleled personal entertainment experience through this latest offering.” said Sudhin Mathur, Director, Smartphones, Lenovo Group.
