Laptop manufacturer, Lenovo, has announced a widescreen option to its ThinkPad T60 range. The 15.4 inch widescreen laptop starts at 5.1 pounds, making it one of the lightest laptops in its category.

Apart from being compact, the 15.4-inch ThinkPad T60 widescreen WXGA display will also allow 30 percent more data on the screen than the 14.1-inch or 15-inch ThinkPad T60 XGA displays. This extra room claims to help users maximize the screen view for their presentations. The 15.4-inch ThinkPad T60 widescreen display also aims to help users in evaluating spreadsheets and data on an airplane or in other travel situations.

It provides up to eight hours of battery life with a nine-cell battery, and its thin form factor starts at 1.1-inch. The ThinkPad T60 widescreen notebook is also equipped with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, and customers will be ready for the next operating system with the option of Microsoft Windows Vista Capable or Vista Premium Ready models.
