Lenovo launches new IdeaCentre AIO lineup

Lenovo has announced a lineup of 18 new all-in-ones (AIOs). The new edition of the IdeaCentre AIOs ranges from the A series, which focuses on the looks, to the B Series, which focuses on functionality, and the C series, which focuses on affordability. As per a press release, the AIOs run on Windows 8 and their key features include a 10-point multi-touch screen. The AIOs come with Lenovo’s own software, including an Eye Distance System that ensures you are not too close to the screen, and Lenovo Cloud for media sharing between devices.

Lenovo claims that the IdeaCentre A720 is the industry’s slimmest 27-inch AIO. It sports a metal exterior and measures 24.5mm in width and has a frameless display. The A720 AIO positions the PC at the base of the unit. Its adjustable hinge allows the screen to be pulled towards the user at an angle of -5 degrees and folded back to an angle of up to 90 degrees.

The Lenovo B Series AIOs use more powerful processors and components that are designed for desktop PCs. Available with up to 3rd-generation Intel Core i5 processors and Nvidia GeForce GPUs, the AIOs can also be used for gaming. The VESA mount compatibility gives users flexibility on where to position their all-in-one, while an optional TV tuner provides access to HDTV. OneKey TV turns the display into a High-definition TV at the click of a button, and on select models, one can watch the TV even without powering on the PC.

The IdeaCentre B540 focuses more on gaming with its 23-inch full HD widescreen frameless display. It supports the latest 3D vision and multi-touch technologies. The performance of the 3rd-generation Intel Core processors alongside Nvidia’s graphics cards turn the AIO into a serviceable gaming PC.

Lenovo’s new C-Series AIOs focus on affordability while attempting to offer multimedia features. These AIOs are more suited for family use and home entertainment.

The 18.5-inch Lenovo C240 is powered by an Intel Celeron dual-core processor. While you won’t exactly be able to use this AIO to play Crysis, it seems capable enough for email and video playback.

Lenovo claims that the C340 is optimised for entertainment consumption with an adjustable screen display, Lenovo Dynamic Brightness System, which automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness based on the users’ current surroundings. These AIOs are modelled after the pages of a journal or book for a simple look, and sport an aluminum stand that utilises minimal desk space and allows users to slot the keyboard under the screen.

The Lenovo C440 AIO sports a 21.5-inch HD LED display. These are mostly used for viewing HD videos and movies. They are powered by Intel’s Core 3rd-generation Core i5 processors and have graphics powered by Nvidia’s GeForce GPUs. This AIO primarily aims to be a budget gaming PC.

The new All-In-Ones are available at all Lenovo stores, multi-brand outlets and large format retail stores:

  • Lenovo IdeaCentre A720: Range starts at Rs 1,15,990
  • Lenovo IdeaCentre B340: Range starts at Rs 34,990

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
