Lenovo has just launched its latest flagship, the Moto Z2 Play in India. The Moto Z2 Play will follow and build on the ‘modular’ Moto Mod ecosystem that started last year with the launch of Moto Z. The Z2 Play is priced at Rs. 27,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 15 June.
The new Moto Z2 Play will feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone will come with 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage. It will offer expandable memory option with up to 2 TB using an external microSD card.
The smartphone will feature a 12 MP primary at the back and a 5 MP front camera. Both the front camera and rear will feature a dedicated dual-LED flash. Rest of the features include a 3,510 mAh battery, an octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, water repellent nano-coating, a USB Type-C port and two color options of gray and gold. Lenovo also announced the launch of four new Moto Mods along with the smartphone.
The four new Moto Mods that the company launched are – the new JBL SoundBoost 2, when attached to the phone will work as audio enhancer, TurboPower Pack Mod which acts as an extra battery to increase the battery life of the phone, new Moto Shells which are the colorful covers to protect the phone, and a new Moto GamePad which can be used as Joystick while playing games.
The Moto Z2 Play can be pre-booked by paying Rs 2,000 up front. Consumers can also choose to pay over 10 months with zero percent interest and zero processing fee. The Moto Armor pack which includes protective accessories like an aluminium case, back shell, selfie-stick, and protective film will also be offered to pre-booking customers. The smartphone will also get 100 GB additional Reliance Jio 4G data offer for Jio users, and will be applicable to all owners of the Moto Z2 Play.
