Lenovo’s Windows RT offering—the IdeaPad Yoga 11—doesn’t seem to be doing too well. According to Neowin, the company has stopped selling the ARM-based notebook-tablet hybrid on its own website. The company seems to be discontinuing the hybrid.
A quick search for the Yoga 11 results in it being out of stock almost everywhere. We tried to contact some retailers to check if it had indeed been discontinued, but we weren’t able to contact them. It is worth noting, however, that we have spotted some places still selling the Yoga 11, presumably leftover stock.
Rest in peace, Yoga 11
The ARM-based hybrid running on Windows RT was originally launched back in December alongside the Yoga 13, which runs the full Windows 8. The Yoga 11 measures 15.6 mm and weighs 1.25 kg. Yoga 11’s slim design and 11.6-inch screen make it a great convertible offering mobility to the user. It runs on the ARM-based Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset. Yoga 11 lets users watch HD movies, play games, get connected and stay productive with Microsoft Office applications for long amounts of time.
Launched alongsied the Yoga 11, the Yoga 13 weighs 1.54 kg and provides a laptop-grade performance to get work done. At the flip of its special patented double hinge, the keyboard flips 360-degrees from beneath the display to transform into a media-friendly tablet fitted with audio-visual features like Dolby Home Theatre.
With this move, Lenovo seems to have discontinued the only Windows RT device that it was making. It is currently unknown if the company will be showing off any new tablets or hybrids that run on the touch-based operating system. The company continues to sell the IdeaPad Yoga 11S and the IdeaPad Yoga 13.
