A few days ago we saw the complete Moto lineup for 2017 leak in a company slide. We know that the Moto Z range this year will have two variants but Lenovo has confirmed that the Moto Z2 Play is coming and will have a 3,000 mAh battery.
The company recently tweeted saying, "Moto Z2 Play has Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery." This is lower than what the Moto Z Play which was launched last year with a 3,150 mAh battery. This could be a move to reduce the overall thickness of the handset.
There is a high possibility that Lenovo will give out a few more details of the upcoming smartphone. According to leaks, the Z2 Play will offer a similar design as the last year model, but that's of course to accommodate the Moto Mods.
The smartphone has also shown up on Chinese certification site TENAA, revealing the design as well as some details of the handset. The listing claims that the Moto Z2 Play will have a thickness of 5.99 mm, a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display and will be powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM. As for storage, it could feature 64 GB of inbuilt memory.
