Laptop manufacturer, Lenovo, has tied up with Telecom co, Bharati Airtel for bundling laptops with fixed broadband connection. The deal will allow Lenovo users to surf the net while on the move by using a PCMCIA data card.
Atul Bindal, Joint President of Bharti Airtel, told ET that PC penetration is essential to drive up broadband adoption and that Airtel has tied up with Lenovo to drive computer penetration and are in talks with HCL for a similar offering.

Bharti may also arrange for bundling notebooks and data cards for mobile connectivity. Lenovo has also tied up with Reliance Communications for bundling its laptops with wireless data cards.
