Lenovo adds five smartphones to its low-end and mid-range segments

Lenovo adds five smartphones to its low-end and mid-range segments

In addition to the K900 flagship, Lenovo launched five other smartphones in India with prices ranging from Rs 8,689 to Rs 26,399.

Priced at Rs 26,399, the S920 comes with a 5.3-inch IPS (1280x720) 720p display framed in a rounded polycarbonate chassis. In terms of processing power, it has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The 8-megapixel camera on the back is capable of taking 100 consecutive shots in burst mode.

Perhaps, the most intriguing handset of the bunch is the P780. The standout feature will undoubtedly be the 4000mAh battery, which Lenovo says gives 25 hours of active standby time. The P780 is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and a 5-inch 720p display and the IPS panel has been tuned to give great viewing angles. The Lenovo P780 will be available for Rs 22,529.

Two more quad-core smartphones were also announced by the company. The S820 is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad-core CPU and has a 12-megapixel camera along with a 2-megapixel front camera. Once again, the camera is capable of 100 continuous shots in burst mode. The S820 is priced at Rs 19,599 and will be available from next month.

On the other hand, the A706 gets a 1 GHz, quad-core processor along with Adreno 203 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Thanks to Dolby Digital Plus technology the A706 gets enhanced audio from stereo speakers. There’s a 4.5-inch 854x480 resolution IPS display and a 5-megapixel primary camera. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has a 2000 mAh battery. The A706 is priced at Rs 15,949.

Finally, we have the A390, a budget smartphone with a 4-inch capacitive display with a 480x800 resolution. Priced at Rs 8,689, the A390 is powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT6577 1GHz processor and has 512MB of RAM. It ships with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, comes with 4GB of storage, expandable up to 32GB, and has a 5 megapixel camera. The A390 will be available from June onwards.
