Leica Cameras have launched exclusively on Amazon; will start with D-Lux, V-Lux and Sofort range starting from Rs 25,000 onwards

German lens and camera maker Leica and Amazon India have announced a partnership wherein three Leica camera models will be sold exclusively on Amazon. [caption id=“attachment_4407985” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Leica D-Lux[/caption] The three camera models include the Leica D-Lux which will be selling for Rs 85,000; the Leica V-Lux selling for Rs 90,000 and the Leica Sofort which will be selling for Rs 25,000. The Leica Sofort is a polaroid type camera which takes in a cartridge of 10 positive films. It comes with modes such as Macro, Bulb, Automatic, Self-timer, Party and People and more. This is meant to appeal to camera users who want a quick print out of their party photos. It comes in an almost square-ish form factor and is the most different looking Leica’s as compared to the rest of its family. The Leica V-Lux is more of a travel zoom variety which focusses on being versatile to appeal to a wider audience. It comes with a 16x optical zoom going from 25-400 mm equivalent with the maximum apertures going from f/2.8 at the wide angle to f/4 at the telephoto end. It is capable of shooting 4K videos and comes with an articulating 3-inch LCD which allows you to shoot from unique angles. It houses a 1-inch sensor. [caption id=“attachment_4407991” align=“alignnone” width=“1280”] Leica Sofort[/caption] Finally, the Leica D-Lux which will be selling for Rs 85,000 is an advanced compact camera housing a 12.8 MP 4/3-inch sensor inside a metallic body. The D-Lux comes with a DC-Vario Summilix lens with a maximum aperture range of f/1.7 to f/2.8 with 11-34mm lens equivalent. It has a fixed LCD display.
