LeEco announced its range of Super TVs in India at a special event in New Delhi yesterday which includes the Super3 Max65, Super3 X65 and Super3 X55 televisions. By launching its range, it has managed beat Xiaomi which has been trying to get its Mi TV to India for the past one year. All three TVs from LeEco support 4K video and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with LeEco’s eUI 5.5 interface on top. In terms of pricing, the Max65 costs Rs 1,49,790 while the and X65 will set you back at Rs 99,790. The smallest and the cheapest option is the X55 priced at Rs 59,790 which is probably the one to go for since it is the cheapest 55-inch 4K smart TV in the market today. The company also claims that its new TV range can give a strong competition to established players like Samsung, Sony and LG. At its pricing, it does seem like LeEco has something interesting, so we went on to compare the best options from Samsung, LG and Sony in the 55-inch range with LeEco X55.

Now the table shows that LeEco is offering similar features when compared to the big brands at half the cost. The LeEco range of smart TVs definitely have a good potential and at that pricing, it can seriously troubles for big and established players. Of course, the brand is still new and the average Indian consumer usually seeks brand value. The Chinese company will have to do some serious convincing if it wants to sell its TVs. The company has got some attractive solutions though, for instance all the TVs also come with 2-year product warranty as well as separate warranty for the display panel for a full 4-years. LeEco is also betting high on its content offering, the Supertainment package . It will be offering a variety of streaming services, channels and 5TB of free cloud storage along with its TV range. It won’t contain a lot of 4K content, which is what a lot of consumers will seek. But it still sounds like a good deal. Sony is probably the only other company that is offering some sort of content bundle with its smart TVs today, but again that is limited to Sony owned channels, which isn’t a lot.
