Last week, there were rumours about LeEco working on a device with 8GB of RAM. If reports floating online are to be believed than it may become a reality soon. The company has put out an official teaser about an event on 29 June. The company has confirmed that it will be revealing a new device at the Mobile World Congress, Shanghai. According to a previous report, the render of LeEco’s new smartphone looks very similar to the recently launched Le Max 2 with a metal build. So, it is believed that the coming device could be just another variant. Speculations are rife that the device could be the Le Max 2 Pro. The teaser doesn’t really say much about the product. But, apart from the 8GB RAM, the highlight of the device is said to be the Snapdragon 821, which is rebranded Snapdragon 823. According to GizChina, the upcoming smartphone from LeEco will be powered by a Snapdragon 821/823 processor even though Snapdragon 820 is compatible with high RAM units. On the camera front, it is expected to come equipped with a whopping 25MP sensor. The device will also get a fingerprint scanner on the back. It is said to carry a price tag that reads 3000 Yuan which translates to roughly Rs 30,000. The Le Max 2 was recently launched in India starting at Rs 22,999. Sporting a 5.7-inch QHD display, the spec sheet includes 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage, 21MP rear snapper, 8MP front camera, Snapdragon 820 and CDLA technology.
