LeEco Le 2 certification confirms 5.5-inch full HD display and 10-core chipset

LeEco’s much-rumoured successor to the Le 1s seems to have leaked out once again. This time around, information and images of the LeEco Le 2, come from a listing on Chinese telecom regulator TENAA’s website, that seems to have given out a complete low down about the specs of the upcoming mid-range smartphone. ![LeEco Le 2 Gold front back](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/LeEco-Le-2-Gold-front-back.jpg) Looking at the official images, the smartphone indeed looks very similar to the LeEco Le Max Pro , which was announced back at the MWC 2016 in February. The front however has more similarities with the currently available LeEco Le 1s with minimal bezel, while the glass screen takes up majority of the front space. Coming to the back, there’s the square camera and fingerprint reader modules, that now have the rounded corners. Also visible is the LED flash. Oddly, there is the ‘Letv’ branding on the back instead of the recent ‘LeEco’ one that we saw in recent leaks. Coming to the sides, there’s the SIM card tray on the left, while the right side shows off the volume buttons and the power/unlock button below it. As for the hardware specifications, there’s more news on this front. The listing reveals a 5.5 Full HD display while the chipset inside seems to be the snappy Helio X20 with a deca-core setup. This cannot be the X25 for two reasons. Firstly, there’s the clock speed that has been locked down to 2.0GHz (instead of 2.5GHz on the X25), while the second is to do with the X25 being exclusive to Meizu’s newest offering that was announced at a recent MediaTek conference. As for the RAM it has been listed at 3GB, while storage seems restricted to 32GB only. Coming to the cameras, the listing shows a 16MP camera for the primary and an 8MP shooter for the front-facing unit. The device weighs in a 153 grams while the 3000mAh completes the package. The smartphone is expected to be launched on April 20.
