One of the best ways to get information on an upcoming update to Android or pre-installed interfaces on Android are the roms that are leaked. One such leak has led to the discovery of the next version of HTC’s Android UI—Sense 5. According to The Mobile Indian , the new version of Sense will be much better than the current iteration Sense 4+.

The screenshots of the next version of Sense – taken from the upcoming HTC M7 – indicate a cleaner interface. It also has more of Android’s “Holo” look incorporated in the design. It looks like HTC’s objective with Sense 5 is to keep the user experience simple and clean.

One of the biggest changes one can see in the screenshots is the lack of the “ring” based gesture system of the typical Sense UI lockscreen. In Sense 4, you have to pull out a ring and put it over certain icons to get the phone to do certain things, such as unlocking the screen or starting the camera.

The UI is rumoured to debut with the HTC M7 , which is all set to be the first device that will be sporting a 1080p display resolution on a 4.7-inch screen, thereby giving it a pixel density of 468 ppi and making it 40 percent higher than that of the iPhone 5.

Other major details include a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, an LTE chip, a 13 megapixel camera with 1080p recording and an f/2.0 aperture. It will also have a 2 megapixel front facing camera with 1080p video recording.

On the audio side of things, the device is set to have a dedicated amplifier designed by Beats along with stereo speakers. It is also set to support the next-gen Wi-Fi standard of 802.11ac, which theoretically has three times the throughput of 802.11n networks.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
