Samsung is not new to building Android-powered flip phones. This is because it has launched several models in the past including the Galaxy Golden 2, which was launched for a pricey Rs 51,900 in India.

But that was 2013 and for 2015, Samsung seems to preparing a successor, and the images of the same have finally surfaced through TENAA , China’s certification board.

The images show off a smartphone with a flip phone form factor, similar to the Galaxy Golden 2. Interestingly, Samsung has really utilised the design elements from its recent Galaxy S6 edge and Note5 models and this shows.

A glance at the back of the handset and you will notice how similar it is to the camera module onboard the Galaxy S6. More importantly, even the heart-rate monitor looks pretty similar and is positioned in a similar fashion.

Moving to the rest of the construction, Samsung’s designers have taken cues from the Galaxy Note 5’s back with a 3D-curved glass construction along with the lipped chin and familiar looking speaker perforations at the bottom. Even the very Samsung-like gaps in the metal frame are present. Inside, we have a t9-style keypad with a directional controller and the back, home and multi-tasking keys on either side.
