The tablet market is slowing down. We have hardly seen any good Android tablets in the recent past and even Apple has started offering a physical keyboard equipped iPads. Probably the only tablet market that could see a long run is Windows. Speaking of which, a new leak has revealed information about a new Windows 10 based tablet that is yet to be announced. Xiaomi might just launch the successor to the Mi Pad 2 and this time not with MIUI based on Android, but with Windows. The Mi Pad 3 could feature a larger screen size of 9.7-inches with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. Now that is exactly the same as Apple’s iPad Pro 9.7 . Not just size, but if the leaked information is true, the Mi Pad 3 will offer slightly lesser weight at 380g and thickness at 6.08mm. Moving to the specs, the new Xiaomi tablet will feature an Intel 7th-gen Core m3-7Y30 processor with 8GB of RAM and a choice between 128 or 256GB of storage. It will run on Windows 10 along with features like USB Type-C and an 8,290 mAh battery. At the back there will be a 16MP camera with dual-tone LED flash as well as a selfie camera with 8 MP resolution. Reports claim that Xiaomi will launch the Mi Pad 3 on December 30 with prices starting at CNY 1,999 (Rs 20,000 approx) with 128GB of storage, and CNY 2,299 (Rs 23,000 approx) with 256GB storage. Xiaomi will also offer a neat looking keyboard dock which will be sold separately for CNY 99 (Rs 1,000 approx). By the looks of the leaked images, the tablet seems to have a metal finish and could also arrive with Android on board as a separate offering.
