One of the biggest updates to Windows Phone 8, simply titled WP8.1, is set to officially be shown off in early 2014. This doesn’t mean we don’t get leaks and rumours, however, so here’s the latest one. According to The Verge , a couple of images have been leaked that show some of the new features and possible changes to the UI in Windows Phone 8.1

The first image shows a Lumia 620 with the much-awaited notifications centre. The notification centre seems to be accessible through a tile which counts out users’ notifications. The same image also shows some sort of unified tile for Skype and Outlook, with the Live Tile update for both services being shown on the same tile.

The second one shows the notification tile as well, but more importantly, it shows that WP8.1 will give users to select more than a tile at a time. This can potentially make reorganising your Windows Phone’s home screen much more intuitive than having to do it one tile at a time.

The last update we heard about was the Windows Phone 8 General Distribution 3 update . It was revealed back in August that Microsoft has been working on it and that it has new features such as rotation lock, UI changes to Live Tiles and a driving mode options for cars. Initially, the update will be available for the Nokia phablet and newer devices, and then to the other existing devices before the year ends.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
