The rumour mills have been churning out reams of news regarding the upcoming DSLR from Sony. However, apart from a single image leak, there has been nothing much to go by, as far as specifications or images are concerned. However now, according to a report by SonyAlphaRumors , this has all changed with a lot of specifications and official press images being revealed. Some of the features of the upcoming A77 DSLR include a 24.3 MP Exmor HD CMOS sensor, 19 points AF with 11 cross sensors, ISO 100-16000, with expandable ISO 50 option. The camera also features video recording capabilities with a full high-definition resolution of 1920 x 1080p. It also has a shutter speed of 1/8000 and 1200 metering mode.

The camera will reportedly launch on the 24th of August, 2011 alongside the A65, NEX-7 and other photography equipment that could surely entice any camera enthusiast. The report states that the upcoming model will be available by mid-October and the price will range from Rs. 73,441 ($1,600) to Rs. 82,622 ($1,800). These are all rumours and we have to just wait and see what the official announcement from Sony will state.
