If images that have surfaced are anything to go by, then we may see a Samsung smartphone with a 2K display. This is the type of display about which rumours have been doing rounds ever since talk about Galaxy S5 started. Sadly though, now that the actual specs of S5 are out , we know for sure that it won’t come with above mentioned display.
New images, courtesy the Twitter user Windyleaks , of an alleged next-gen Samsung smartphone have now rekindled talk of a 2K or QHD display, shows the phone in a what looks like a NDA case or a test chassis. Whether this is the phone that was being hinted at by Samsung executives recently is unknown, while there’s also talk that this is a prototype of the Galaxy Note 4.
After the disappointment of a plastic-bodied Galaxy S5, critics are hoping Samsung will come up with a phone with a metal body to complement its awesome software and display. There is also speculation that the company might launch a variant of S5 with a QHD display and a metal body.
As of now the complete focus seems to be on the April 11 launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and there’s no word on future flagships. While we can be assured that Samsung is working on topping the Galaxy S5, the new rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt till an official confirmation is forthcoming.
