Lava has introduced a new smartphone dubbed the Lava P7 for a price of Rs 5,499 in India. The device will be available in white, blue and gold colour variants via leading online and retail stores. In terms of specifications, the device sports a 5-inch FWVGA display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 1GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and the company promises that the device will upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well. On the memory front, the Lava P7 includes an internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The smartphone comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera along with a 2MP front facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the device includes 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB. A 2000mAh battery completes the package and also features a Power Saver mode. The company claims that the device will offer up to 20 hours of talk time.
