The earlier version was released in March and was a 2 GB RAM variant priced at Rs 9,990. The newer version will have a 3 GB RAM priced at Rs 11,500.

Lava Z10 launched at Rs 11,500; builds on the older model

Indian smartphone maker Lava has unveiled an updated version of their previously launched   Z10 smartphone . The earlier version was released in March and featured 2 GB RAM and was priced at Rs 9,990. The newer Lava Z10 model sports 3 GB RAM and will be priced at Rs 11,500.

The smartphone is already available at the company’s retail stores. It will sport a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display like its predecessor with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The  Lava Z10  also comes with a 365-days screen replacement policy, which means that users can get a free screen replacement within a year of purchase and also with a 30-day replacement policy.

The handset runs on Star OS 3.3 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is offered with 16GB of inbuilt storage, that can be expanded to 128 GB via an external SD card and has a 1.3 GHz quad core processor.. It is backed up by a 2,620 mAh non removable battery with ‘Power Saver mode’ and ‘Super Power Saver mode’. On the camera front, the Z10 sports a Big Pixel Sensor with 1.4 µm pixel size and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies exactly like its predecessor. It has a bluetooth 4.0 support, a 3.5mm headphone jack and also an Accelerometer, Proximity and Ambient Light Sensor

Contrary to some of the smartphones in its price range, the Z10 still does not offer any fingerprint scanner. The phone is of a dual sim variety and can support both 3G and 4G.
