Lava has unveiled their new smartphone Iris Fuel 60 at an event in New Delhi today. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 8,888. The main USP of the phone is its massive 4000 mAh battery, which it claims can last up to 32 hours of talk time on a 2G network. The phone is also said to have a quick-charge technology that allows the phone to charge completely within 3 hours and 15 minutes. Speaking at the launch of Iris Fuel 60, Mr. Navin Chawla, Vice President & Head Product, LAVA International said, “At LAVA International, we constantly strive to offer quality products best suited to meet the requirements of our consumers empowering them to do more and be more. As our dependency on smartphones has increased, battery has become a matter of concern. The Fuel series has been carefully designed by LAVA to meet such a crucial need." In terms of the specifications, the phone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The screen is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. The Iris Fuel 60 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor along with 1GB RAM. It comes with a built-in storage space of 8GB and can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card. It’s also equipped with a 10MP rear camera along with a 2MP front-facing camera. In addition, there’s support for full HD video recording and digital zoom with built-in auto-focus, panorama, HDR mode, face detection, smile shot and voice capture. The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and can be expected to receive the Android Lollipop update. The Iris Fuel 60 will be available in black and white colours in retail outlets across India and leading e-commerce portals.
