Every year, Konami hosts a tournament to commemorate the upcoming iteration of its football game franchise Pro Evolution Soccer. This time is no different, and leading up to the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is a tournament for PES 2013. This year, however, Konami is holding the world final of the tournament in Dubai.
Those interested in taking part in the tournament can head over to Zinklo Console Gaming in Mulund, Mumbai, or Federation of Gamers, Saket, New Delhi. That’s quite an impressive prize pool
While the tournament is open to everyone, there is an upper limit to the number of players. Those who have pre-orders for Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will be given preference over the other participants and will get to play first without queuing up. Two winners, one from each city, will be going to take part in the PES 2013 Middle East Finals in Dubai on September 27, and the winner from that will take part in the world final on September 28.
Runners up left in India will get a pair of headphones from Audio Technica. The main winner will get 10,000 Euros as the prize, which at current rates is an impressive Rs 8,52,690, with the runner-up getting 5,000 Euros (Rs 4,26,350 approx).
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is hitting stores on September 19 and will be making it to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
