Kodak expected to announce a new phone on 20 October

Kodak has a rough period ever since its camera business went down. It has been trying to keep up the brand name by thawing into different product categories. For instance, last year it announced the IM5 smartphone , which many of you have no clue about as it didn’t make any kind of impact. Now it seems that the iconic photography brand is going to launch another smartphone. Thanks to an accidental tweet, we have a certain clue that the company will launch or at least showcase, a smartphone on 20 October. The tweet (now deleted) had a teaser image showing brushed metal edges and a button that looks like a shutter key with the Kodak logo. There is no other info for now, but we expect more to pop in soon before the company unveils the product. The IM5 was a big disappointment for the company last year, but maybe it has learned from mistakes and cooked up something good this time. Recently the company had partnered with Noida-based Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd to launch five HD LED sets in India. These LEDs are currently selling in the country and are available in 32-inch, 40-inch and 50-inch screen sizes with prices starting at Rs 13, 500.
