HyperX 3K SSD loads games and applications faster, increases frames-per-second for an improved gaming experience and allows for quick transfers and edits of large media files. It has a sequential read throughput of 555 MB/s and write of 510 MB/. The new SSD will be shipping in 90GB, 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB capacities, HyperX 3K SSD comes in a sleek black and aluminium case design, accentuating the look of any power user’s system. It is available as either a standalone drive or in an upgrade kit to make installation easy and quick. We had reviewed the previous HyperX 120GB, which featured Synchronous flash memory and even though it didn’t beat the mighty Intel 520 series SSD, the performance was close and for the price, it wasn’t too bad at all. The new drive will come with an upgrade kit as well, which features a driver disk, data cable and an enclosure for using it as a portable drive.
