Can’t get enough of Candy Crush Saga? Even King Entertainment wants you to stop. The makers of the addictive, and frankly social-life-destroying game have released a sequel. It’s called Candy Crush Soda Saga and with the addition of one more word in the title, King wants us to believe it’s a totally new game. But (spoiler alert) it’s literally the same gameplay, with soda drinks and gummies, replacing the candies and chocolates. Wow, that’s genius. King exclaims on the Play Store page: “Soda-soaked environments and the friendliest characters!” and “75 sweet levels in this magical world”. Clearly, it’s a very niche audience they are targetting. Currently Soda Saga is only a soft-launch, and not available in all regions. It’s even skipped India, which is surprising considering the number of people we see playing it on our daily commute. If these guys don’t deserve the sequel, we would like to see what levels of addiction King expects before giving you a taste of Soda. But you could keep switching the Play Store region, if you are dying to get it. As usual, there’s a truckload of in-app purchases for you to blow your money on. But remember, even those extra turns won’t fill the void.
