Karbonn Mobile launched its new entry-level device, the Aura Note 2 at a competitive price of Rs 6,490. The phone comes pre-installed with an AI-based feature which allows price comparison while shopping online.
The feature named "Fashion eye' allows the user to take photographs of an outfit of choice and incorporates the AI engine to find the product on the web and compare its price. Fashion Eye also transforms images into artwork in a Prisma-like manner.
The Aura Note 2 also offers a Nougat 7.1 experience and a 13 MP rear facing camera for the price. The rear camera comes with various modes like panorama and a burst mode. A front-facing 5 MP camera also comes with a beauty mode.
Offered in three colours, blue champagne, coffee champagne and black champagne, the Aura Note 2 sports a 5.5 inch IPS HD (1280x720) display coupled with a 1.25 GHz quad-core CPU and 2 GB RAM. The internal storage capacity of the phone lies at 16 GB and is expandable up to 32 GB. Karbonn also added a 2,900 mAh battery into the device.
At this price, the device is competing directly with Redmi 4A, a device that retails at Rs 5,999, but offers a smaller screen and faster processor.
Karbonn, a joint venture between Jaina Group, a Delhi-based company and UTL Group were one of the first domestic makers to bring Google's Android One initiative to the Indian masses.
