Jugnoo updates its app for drivers, adds multilingual interface

Drivers will now get an option to choose their preferred language from English, Hindi, Gujarati, Oriya, Assamese, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu

Auto-rickshaw aggregator Jugnoo has announced a new update to its app that makes it multilingual. The driver side of the app now offers eight more languages apart from English. Drivers will now get an option to choose their preferred language from English, Hindi, Gujarati, Oriya, Assamese, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu.

The company said that this move will help them penetrate and expand into tier II and tier III cities where auto-rickshaws are the preferred and more dependable modes of transportation. Also, the usage of the app is preferred in their regional language.

Samar Singla, Founder and CEO at Jugnoo, said, “Majority of our business comes from tier II & tier III cities where drivers find it difficult to read either Hindi or English given the diversity of our country. The app now has a multilingual interface which help the drivers to engage with our application in their chosen language. This will further enable the drivers to understand the app with relative ease, saving time and improving the productivity.”

Recently the company announced the launch of its auto rickshaw pooling feature ‘Jugnoo Pool’ which gives its customers the option to share their trip with those travelling in the same direction.
