Jerry Bruckheimer (Bad Boys, The Rock, Top Gun etc.) seems to have developed a sudden fetish for video-games. First, he’s all set to produce the Prince of Persia movie and now we’ve just got word that he’s planning another movie in which video-games will play a major role.
The movie will be called Game Boys and will follow the adventures of two thirty year old gamers as they lead an army of gamers against monsters from a game that have mysteriously come to life.
No mention of a star cast or release date, but don’t be surprised if you see Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in the lead roles… Game Boys, Game Boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
