The HTC Desire 500 smartphone has been officially launched in Taiwan. This Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running smartphone sports a 4.3-inch display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.
The Desire 500 features the company’s Sense 5 UI and BlinkFeed. The latter, for those not in the know, allows users to stay abreast on everything from breaking news, sports, social netowkrs and more. HTC BlinkFeed brings in fresh content from over 1,400 content partners for over 10,000 news feeds per day. Users can customise their own BlinkFeed.

The camera on the HTC Desire 500 smartphone comes with Rapid Shutter feature that allows you to capture more images with multi-shot burst mode camera. Then there is the VideoPic setting that allows users to capture both videos and images at the same time. With the HTC ImageChip, the company claims that users can get great shots despite movement and poor lighting conditions. All this is fuelled by an 1800 mAh battery.
