Samsung is not the only one who has been taking a dig at Apple’s iCrazy fan base. Now Nokia has taken a dig at the iPhone as well, while promoting the non-flash image capture capability of the Nokia Lumia 925.
Nokia has portrayed all iPhone users as mindless zombies in the ad, who rely on the flash feature on their phones to take photographs. The ad shows a lone Nokia user walking down an empty, dark street looking at his phone, while surrounded by the ‘walking dead’, who sport iPhones. Massive phone camera flashes pepper each turn in the video, as the iZombies, who have been portrayed by actors with chalk white skin and blood shot eyes, use their phones to take photo after photo.

The ad takes the idea of Apple fanaticism to the next level, with the protagonist seemingly running away from iZombies who are trying to flash him with their phone cameras. The only word that you will hear in the video, which otherwise makes do with an edgy _28 weeks later-_ish sound track, is “photo”, uttered by a long haired iZombie holding an iPhone.
Nokia has been promoting its smartphones quite a lot in the recent past. The most recent instance saw the Nokia Lumia 720 being featured prominently in the recently released Man of Steel, with Lois Lane (played by Amy Adams) being seen carrying the phone around through the movie. In addition, an exclusive trailer for the movie was released by Nokia for the movie, which has over 7 million hits on YouTube. With its latest ad, Nokia seems to be getting quite a bit of attention as well, with the ad video having gotten over 4,00,000 hits on YouTube in the past three days.
The Nokia Lumia 925, which was earlier spotted in the Nokia Store, will come in a metal clad avatar, with advanced lens tech as well as next generation imaging software which, according to the company, delivers clearer, sharper pictures and video, along with the best low-light images that can be captured. Along with that, the company has also introduced the new Nokia Smart Camera mode, which will soon be seen in all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones. From what can be seen in the 5 second appearance of the smartphone in the ad, the Nokia Lumia 925 seems a bit bulky though, but users will have to wait a while before the product officially comes to the market. The price tag that the smartphone sports in Europe is 469 EUR (approx Rs 33,290).
