Is Fujitsu Going to Launch First Windows Mango Phone?

The entire world is in eager anticipation for the next update to WP7, which is Windows Phone 7.5 aka Mango. Fujitsu is said to be the first in line to launch the world’s first Windows Phone Mango device that’s being dubbed the IS12T. According to a report by Engadget, Japanese website Nikkei has said that the Fujitsu IS12T should be released by August, in Japan.

The report goes on to suggest that the phone will sport a 3.7-inch LCD screen and will be waterproof, which would be great for India, especially now with the monsoons on in full swing. Another interesting feature this rumor suggests is that it will be available with a pink colour option; thus making it an attractive choice for women wanting to get their hands on a Windows Mango phone. Currently, there is no word on worldwide availability of the handset, but it will be available in Japan for 30,000 to 40,000 yen, which is approximately between Rs. 16,800 to Rs. 22,400.

This seems like a pretty impressive bit of information, because it was said that the first Windows Phone 7.5 would be released by fall i.e post September, hence making the launch of the Fujitsu IS12T much earlier than anticipated.
