A deeper look inside the specs of the
iPhone X
reveals that the phone is poor in one important department, which is LTE download speeds. [caption id=“attachment_4038105” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
The Apple iPhone X[/caption] The iPhone X was mentioned to have LTE Advanced modem inside and not the Gigabit LTE
. The latter was introduced only last year and it made possible around 1 Gbps of internet download speeds on regular LTE connections of which users could get around 300 mbps atleast
according to
BGR. These jaw dropping download speeds were a result of Qualcomm’s improvement on its current LTE tech in the modem and also more upgrades made by wireless carriers claim BGR. The Gigabit LTE technology is currently present on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and
S8
, Moto Z2 Force,
HTC U11
, Sony Xperia XZ1 and LG V30 but not on the latest iPhone X or iPhone 8. This casts a cloud over Apple’s constant claims that the new iPhone models were built for wireless support. This also proves to be bad news for prospective iPhone X or iPhone 8 buyers since LTE speeds are going to only improve in the coming 12-18 months but the iPhone X without Qualcomm’s Gigabit LTE modem may not be able to utilize these high speeds.
