iPhone 6 goes on sale in India: A look at some of the first-hand buyers

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus finally made their way to the Indian market today. The phones are available for purchase across 24 cities in India through Apple Premium Resellers, multi-brand retail stores and online retail stores. Here’s a look at the buyers who are some of the first ones to get their hands on Apple’s latest smartphones in India. In Mumbai, the iPhone 6 is available at Maple in Bandra and at High Street Phoenix in Lower Parel. Ms Bela Raja , 55 was the first one to collect her iPhone 6 at the Hight Street Pheonix, Mumbai outlet. The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is available for Rs. 53,500 for the 16GB version, Rs. 62,500 for the 64GB version, and Rs. 71,500 for the 128GB version. The 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus has been priced at Rs. 62,500 for the 16GB version, Rs. 71,500 for the 64GB version, and Rs. 80,500 for the 128GB version. Apple is said to have shipped 50,000-55,000 units of the iPhone 6 to make sure there’s no shortage of phones during the shopping weekend. Incidentally, today is the when when the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in the Indian market.
