iPhone 5: Samsung mocks Apple fanboys once again in new ad

Samsung isn't going to stop taking potshots at the iPhone 5 and proving how the Samsung Galaxy S III is way better. The new ad mocks Apple fanboys who are waiting in line to buy the iPhone 5.

Samsung isn't going to stop taking potshots at the iPhone 5 in an effort to prove the Samsung Galaxy S III is way better. The latest ad shows a bunch of Apple fanboys who are waiting in line to buy the new iPhone 5. The fans are discussing the new features of the iPhone 5, namely the new connector and the fact that the headphones dock is at the bottom now. And the way they discuss the features in the ad, it does sound rather lame.

Samsung is also hinting that the iPhone 5 is obsolete and old. One of the the guys waiting in line says, we'll finally get everything we didn't get last year. And if that wasn't enough, Samsung is also hinting that the iPhone 5 is used by only old people. For example there's a guy who's switched from the iPhone to S III and he's holding a seat in the line for his parents.

Samsung's ad also points out that the big screen, 4G etc was always on the Galaxy S III. And that the iPhone 5 doesn't have NFC either.

Samsung vs Apple is getting nastier, probably accentuated by the fact that Samsung lost its patent case against Apple and will have to pay $1 bn or possibly more as fine. Samsung had also taken out a full print ad in newspapers which compared a seemingly never ending list of virtues of the Galaxy S III to the rather small list of features in the iPhone 5. You can check out more here.

Samsung's ad strategy as far as the iPhone 5 is concerned is clear. The Galaxy S III is better and it is the next big thing. Remember the S III outsold the iPhone 4S in the US for the first time in August 2012.
