iOS 7.0.3 fixes iPhone 5s accelerometer issues, lets you remove animations

Apple has rolled out a new update for devices running on iOS 7. Numbered at 7.0.3, the update is a relatively tiny download, weighing in at roughly 67MB, but brings a few new features as well as some much-needed bug fixes. Features the update brings to the table include iCloud Keychain and a password generator.

Tweaks made to the operating system include the lock screen waiting to display “slide to unlock” when Touch ID is being used, as well as a fix to a bug that allowed some enterprising users to bypass the lock screen even if a code was required.

Spotlight also got an update, bringing back the ability to search Wikipedia and the Internet. iMessages also seems to have been fixed up a bit, with a fix for a bug that caused iMessages to fail in activating. One of the bigger fixes in the update is to the accelerometer that new iPhone users have been complaining about.

Those suffering from motion sickness after a few hours of looking at iOS 7’s animations can also rejoice. Apple has added an option that removes some of these animations, such as when the phone “zooms into” an app when you open it, or when it “zooms out” when you press the Home button.

If your iPhone hasn’t shown you any notification for the update yet, you can simply go into Settings, General and Software Update, where you will find the update waiting to be downloaded and installed. The update is only available for devices compatible with iOS 7.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
